What Do We Look For In A Glove?
Aug 10 2022
What makes a good glove? This was a question all of us at Stop'N'Go needed to answer when originally developing our range of revolutionary gloves.
Our team has over 50 years of experience in the safety and protective markets and drew on this when deciding how our range of safety gloves should perform and look.
We came up with 4 key criteria:
Comfortable
Long experience has taught us that the most important factor in deciding whether a product will actually provide protection is how comfortable it is. Put another way, an important question is “Will they wear it?” Operatives need to want to wear their safety equipment and clothing for it to protect them.
Functional
Once the operatives are wearing the gloves, they need to allow them to carry out their tasks efficiently. If a glove is comfortable but doesn’t provide the grip required, then workers will be unproductive and they (and their managers) will ultimately end up frustrated.
Functionality is about more than just grip; it requires us to look at the roles/tasks where we envisage the product being used and asking if it’s a good fit for the workers (wearers) and their activities.
Assured Protection
Comfortable and functional gloves also need to provide protection. Too many brands prioritise the cost-effectiveness of their gloves by using inferior materials and technologies. We’ve built the Stop'N'Go range on the best - we want our customers to have complete peace of mind when they’re using our gloves.
Streamlined + Easy to Choose
Large ranges of gloves can often be cumbersome for the distributors providing the gloves to the end-user. We knew this from our experience in distributing PPE to a wide variety of customers before creating Stop'N'Go.
We’re building a range that covers all the needs of our end-users whilst being compact and easy to navigate as an end-user and present as a distributor. We want it to be ridiculously easy for our customers to choose the right gloves.
